Day 9 (Wednesday 5 March) Campesino Lanzarote

When we awoke we were pleased to see that the rain had given way to blue skies. After breakfast we set off to Cesar Manrique's house,  a house built in 5 volcanic bubbles converted into rooms. He did not live in this house towards the end of his life and it is now known as the Cesar Manrique Foundation.

We then planned to call in in Arrecife to go to the Castillo de San Jose to see the much vaunted cafe/restaurant there. Unfortunately it was Carneval and many of the roads were blocked off so we decided to head back to Matagorda for lunch.

As it was a lovely afternoon we finally took the chance to relax by the pool.
